Check content with regular expression

Carlos Perez Saez 8 years ago 0

Is there a way to evaluate the content of http minutor using regular expression. Some products (like RabbitMQ) has a API to obtain the status of the service in a json format. With regular expression, we can check that json to see if everything is ok.

server is offline and no notifications

Chris Vance 8 years ago updated by Ivan Lapushenkov (Here to help) 8 years ago 2

Running a trial version and I must be missing something about notifications.

I powered down a Windows server that is being monitored 15 minutes ago and not one single email notification sent.

Any help would be appreciated.

add custom http headers for web monitor

Daniel Zheng 8 years ago updated by Ivan Lapushenkov (Here to help) 8 years ago 1

Hello I need to add a custom header for authentication using the web monitors. It is a requirement to test some of our rest API's in our infrastructure. It is a serious problem because otherwise you seem to have a complete system. You are losing me as a customer because of this.

I want to change my dedicated server

jesse_c 8 years ago updated by Ivan Lapushenkov (Here to help) 8 years ago 2

I tried to install the anturis software package on my new server via SSH, but the installation process gave me the error "connecting to server... can't complete operation". I think I maybe getting that error because the software is still installed on my old server.

Do you suggest I remove the software from my old server, and what is the command to remove it?

Thanks !!

Problems installing the Anturis Monitoring Agent on a 2012 r2 domain controller

IS_RP 8 years ago updated 8 years ago 4

Hi,
I tried to update the agent from the web console but it was version 2.7 and I was advised to do it manually.
I simply ran the installation on one of the 3 servers (running 2012 r2) with outdated agents and everything went fine without a reboot.
However the last server is a domain controller and the in-place upgrade failed to start the service ("Verify if you have sufficient privileges to start system services").
I had to cancel the upgrade and it reverted to version 2.7 but it won't start due to logon failure.
I rebooted the server but that didn't help with the upgrade.
I uninstalled the existing 2.7 and rebooted but the upgrade fails the same way.
I noticed that on the 2 other servers there are now 2 local accounts (AnturisAgent and AnturisRestricted).

I added those 2 accounts to the local SecPol "Log on as a service" but the upgrade still fails.

Currently there's no agent installed on this DC and I need this fixed ASAP.

Hi,

About the DC with issue. Does this DC have another DC(like secondary DC) at the same network?

In common case this usually helps:

  1. Uninstall agent from all servers that are in the same domain.
  2. Check in users list that there are no Anturis* users
  3. Check there are no Anturis* users in Local Security Policy->Local Policies->User Rights Assignment for the following policies: Allow log on locally, Log on as a service, Replace a process level token
  4. Delete key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Acronis Monitoring in registry from all servers where Anturis agents were installed.
  5. After that install the latest agent version on each server manually
  6. Connect it to account and setup components & monitors again

About service account for 'logon as a service' it is good point but unfortunately, it is not possible now.

Monitor Linux Software Raid

alan boushard 8 years ago updated by Alexander Artamonov (Here to help) 8 years ago 1

I saw that I could monitor the process mdadm. I was wandering what would be the best way with Anturis to monitor for a failed disk in a Linux software raid? I know I can setup monitoring with mdadm itself and do but would like to have it monitored in as many places as possible so I don't miss a failed disk.

Answer

Hi Alan,

Thank you for your question.

I have to tell you that we don't have a monitor which does exactly what you described.

However as pointed out by my colleague in the support case, you can use a monitor with Custom shell command: http://community.anturis.com/topics/700-custom-shell-command/
