Implement regular maintenance window for devices so uptime report is not affected

mchowdhary 10 years ago updated by webdesires 8 years ago 5

Would it be possible to implement this feature:

Specify a regular maintenance window for each device during which some known maintenance takes place (e.g. rebooting a server, etc.)  This is because some organizations exclude maintenance windows from uptime reporting.

Thanks,

Moeen.

More monitoring location provided by Anturis!

tbbong 11 years ago updated by Ilya (Here to help) 9 years ago 4

It would be great if Anturis would provide more monitoring location by Anturis, especially in Asia.

By default, it should have default monitoring scattered around the world that would able to pick for new comers.

Although, it allow individuals to plug their own agent on customer favourite location (which is great idea - which why i still keep update to anturis), but it is not easy for most of the enterprise (especially incur more cost).

contents of SMS messages

flexin 10 years ago updated by Konstantin (Here to help) 10 years ago 3
I would like to see more details in the text messages you send.
Rather than "new major incident at XX with server X", I would prefer something like:

new incident - server XX - timestamp - test name - metric comparison (warning)

for instance:

new incident - server 32 - 12:44 - Server Load - 9.48 > 8 (warning)

Load average checks

Jeff Uberstine 11 years ago updated by Konstantin (Here to help) 11 years ago 3

I would like to have a check for the local agents to check for CPU load average. It is not uncommon for CPU spikes on Virtualized machines. Very often a CPU may spike from 12% to 100%, then back down. In this case, an alert is thrown. I would like a check for load average. For example, if the load average is over 1.0 or 4.0 then throw an alert. I would like to set the load level at which the alert is thrown. This provides a much better indication of a problem and prevent false positives. Could this feature be added?

Answer

Ok, so we are talking about the same thing. Yes we have that in plans. Will keep you posted and thanks for reporting )

Do consider to adding personal Agent to indicate in the Map.

tbbong 11 years ago updated by Konstantin (Here to help) 11 years ago 1

It would be nice if able to indicate where is the personal agent located in the world map under "Location & Agent".

Answer

Yeah, we also thought about it. But it seems to have not that much sense - just a toy :)

Do you think it can be of any specific use for you, for example?

For monitors based on recorded transactions, how are we able to specify response time thresholds for a single web request?
