Hi!
You can connect your hardware using SNMP?

This description implies that I'm installing the Anturis SNMP agent unto device and thus it becomes visible.
I cannot install any agent on a Cisco ASA.
Can't I simply enable SNMP zone on the device and map towards your back end?
Hi Mihin,
According to this guide it is possible to monitor SNMP devices without installing a private agent on them: http://community.anturis.com/forums/4-knowledge-base/topics/702-printers/
However you need a private agent in your network to monitor your Cisco devices.
Are you saying that the private agent installed on a Windows or Linux computer is actually doing the SNMP monitoring? This is a problem for us, because we only permit SNMP queries from specific hosts, namely our Macintosh-based NMS and from Anturis. We don't enable general SNMP access from hosts on our LAN to our network devices, because the network devices are on a separate Management VLAN, which is a standard security practice.
