Add/Alter HTTP header for web monitor
Should able to add/alter http header for web monitor.
Been a common practice that layer 7 protection would treat unknown http header as malicious. Additional, certain enterprise application would use custom http header as indication of the reliable source

Did I understand you correctly that you want for a web monitor to have possibility to add a custom HTTP header into HTTP request?
This currently can be only done via Transaction recorder.

Can't monitor one of my websites because ISP uses Apache mod_security which disallows Anturis' user agent "Mozilla/5.0" - if that could be specified in the HTTP check I'd appreciate it.

Hi,
Yes, configuration of the user-agent string is in our plans for the end of this year/beginning of the next.
Thanks.

To workaround this issue for the time being you may use our Transaction Recorder. It is possible to set any HTTP header in "fine-tune" mode there.
Let me know if it helps.

I saw that comment above. But the transaction recorder seems to require the agent and I am unable to install the agent on the host, its a low-range hosting service.

No, it's a software like a lightweight browser installed on a PC/laptop. During installation you should uncheck Agent and Agent won't be installed.

Guys WTH custom HTTP headers are needed. I'm a potentially new customer who cannot use your system because of a small flaw like this.
