Content Check Failed - Status 200

joshgilson 10 years ago updated by Ilya (Here to help) 10 years ago 2
I'm new to Anturis and I want to make sure I fully understand and learn from server issues I know monitor. Today at the exact same time (20:48 to be exact) all my sites reported a Status 200 "Content Check Failed" I got a ton of emails, 2 from each site, a "STARTED" email and then immediately a "ENDED" email. By the time I opened each site, they were running normal and the server seems normal as well. How/Why would this be caused? How can I truly find out the cause of this? Thanks! Here's one of the emails:

Hello,

Looks like your Mysql server was gone away for less than one minute. When our agents tried to open monitored page it saw below text in body of your monitored page:
Error displaying the error page: Application Instantiation Error: Could not connect to MySQL.

If it isn't critical that monitored web site cannot connect to your mysql server for a few seconds you can optimize Status Rule for each http monitor to change status only when 2 fails in succession. So, you will alerted  when problem with mysql or any other will be more than one minute.

About tons of emails. As i see you have two persons which responsible and for all incident and for problems on each component. That's why you receiving tons of emails. I think you have quite enough notification about all incident. It is all emails with subject started from 'Incident of %time% involving %component_name% '.
